If you have seen any of my other work you’ll know I am a huge fan of adobe spark. I’ll be honest if I completed a Multiple Intelligences inventory right now the visual spatial intelligence would be one of my lowest scoring intelligences and it’s not that I haven’t worked extensively to build it up. But that intelligence just isn’t strong for me, it never has been and I doubt I’ll ever be a person who notices differences in paint color or the way a room is organized. I’m linguistic and as of now at 37 I doubt that will change. Now that isn’t to say I’m not great when I am messing around in Camtasia, it’s just that I have worked really hard to get there.
The reason I love adobe spark so much is because of how simple it is, it allows me to tell stories with images. And it’s simple enough that I can create a decent image in a few minutes time. As a special education teacher I was always looking for a way to give students with dyslexia as much information as possible in a non written way. Adobe spark allows me to deliver that information in a visual way-without being visually talented.
Below are some of the images I have created for a micro learning opportunity about the media. I tried to cover the military-media relationship, the 5 W’s, Fact Vs Opinion and the different big players in media. These slides are from 2017, so some things have changed, but many of the personalities I cover like Arianna Huffington and Cenk Uygar are still the same. Funny story about those two, they both started as conservatives but found the niche in left wing media. I’m going to guess their style fit the advertisers better in left wing media.
