IEP Meetings made stress free!
I am able to help with your IEP and Special Education meeting needs. I have seven years of experience as a Special Education teacher in a variety of settings and roles and graduate level work in training parents for the IEP meeting process.
Schools have a set of motivations that is complex and at times different from objectively providing for the student’s needs. Schools may be motivated by finances, state oversight or school report cards. Because of these motivations schools will try to craft IEP’s that meet their needs rather than those of the individuals they serve.
I help parents and families by training them in special education processes, consulting with them on their existing IEP documentation and by digitally accompanying them to meetings with school officials. I bill transparently and leave you in a position to succeed in future meetings independently.

IEP Consultation:
We can go through your child’s Special Education Documents and let you know what other services they might qualify for and how you should go about getting those. We will craft a Parent Concerns letter to your child’s teacher and the Local Education Agency or LEA to let them know what your concerns are for your child’s education.
This service is eligible for my sliding scale.
Advocacy within IEP/Evaluation meetings:
I cut through the difficult language and complex terminology to make sure the school district knows exactly what you want for your child! I attend the meeting with you and make sure your child’s needs get met within the IEP meeting process.
This service is eligible for sliding scale fees.
Training For IEP Meetings:
I have trained numerous parents for the IEP meeting process. Those parents were able to get their children what they needed by knowing their rights and knowing how to navigate the process.
Training is available and is billed differently based on training needed and an individual’s ability to pay.
Regulatory Work and Complaints:
If your child’s school is not following your childs
IEP or they refuse to give you the proper services in the IEP meeting there are steps we can take. We can follow grievance procedures to get your child’s needs met in the IEP process and in the classroom.
This service is covered by the sliding scale.
Testimonials
I have struggled with IEP’s for 6 years. While our school does appear willing to work through my son’s ADHD and learning disabilities, the older he gets the fewer resources he appears to have. Alex did a great job helping me prepare for my IEP meeting. We went through the current IEP, what was working and what wasn’t. We developed a solid list of needs and goals. I sent my Parent Concerns document to the teacher ahead of time so she wouldn’t feel blind sided. The teacher and the Special Ed team were all very willing to accommodate and have found ways to give us almost everything we asked for on the IEP. I know other parents who are very frustrated with our school and the special ed team. I really feel like Alex made all the difference for our success. I can’t thank him enough! – Tammy in Kansas

Sliding-Scale-IEP-advocacy-1Training in Advocacy for IEP and other Special Education meetings
I deliver trainings for IEP meetings both in person and online. These trainings utilize AI to write letters requesting IEP meetings and Parent Concern Statements. We go though the different parts of the IEP and learn how to get the most for your child from each part. This one hour long live training teaches parents how to navigate the IEP process while making sure their child has what they need to succeed.
One of my main missions professionally is to train parents in the IEP meeting process so that their children can be successful in school.
